We reported earlier this week about how BlaqChaos created a video that combines Shadow Chronicles and Episode 85 of Robotech to prove that Shadow Chronicles doesn't overwrite the TV episode. The video was only 25Mb large. Sadly, the file had to be taken down until a new host is found.
"Well, it seems the video made by BlaqChaos and streamed by Rhade has been a major hit with Robotech fans. The responce has been so high, infact, that Rhade has had to delete the files from his website. Why? Well, his domain host threatenned to terminate his domain because the bandwidth being used exceded his monthly allow bandwith in a single day. From 12AM on April 1st to 12 AM on April 2nd, fans have downloaded or watched the video so much that it has used up all of Rhade's 10 Gigabyte per month alloted bandwith. "

10 GB / 25MB = roughly 400 downloads in just 24 hours, or about one every four minutes. Just imagine how many downloads there were in the week before.
Torrent is the way to go.
Or just put it on Youtube or Google Video, or even a pay-for-hosting photo/video service like phanfare.com. Geez, nobody should be hosting huge video files that popular in this day and age.
