The Anime Network comes to Canada!

It seems that ADV Films' Anime Network, which is often a video on-demand service, will finally be arriving onto Canadian cable providers. Why is this somewhat exciting for Canadian fans? Robotech! Robotech should still be a part of the Anime Network service and so our series continues to spread.

Actually, Robotech has been popular in Canada since 1985. With the Anime Network coming to Canada, it's not going to change the popularity of Robotech at all. Except, what it might do is allow some of the younger fans who havent' witnessed robotech during the initial hay days in 85'.

Since all the robotech VHS and DVD editions are available up here as well. Only the newbies might get into it. So in the end there still might be some more fans from the north that may become fans of the series.

The more numbers of fans we get up here and elsewhere around the world, the more likely robotech will return as a new series on television.

Let's hope we see this happen soon.

Uh, have people actually gone to the animenetwork.com website? Canada is only getting the video-on-demand version of Anime Network.

Robotech is not on the different video-on-demand versions, and hasn't been in recent memory, if ever.

Not one new family is going to get Robotech because of this.
